@TheHardyBoyCats My 2 had a similar position when I got home from work. They weren't too impressed that I woke them! https://t.co/zBQ7UdwdDn

@SmileSimplify @pilliarscreatio @MmmBob I was making tea and that very thought popped in my head -they wouldnt do it unless it was worth it!

@pilliarscreatio @SmileSimplify @MmmBob i dont think it would be more than small % difference... but thats just a hunch - i have no maths to back it up! :D

@SmileSimplify @pilliarscreatio @MmmBob Well that was kinda my question - can they keep it over the sea and maybe >~100km from the coast. It might be ok. I dont believe going out over the gulf would be feasible. Plane change would required too much fuel. they could head sse to put distance to coast. Then quickly turn S

@SmileSimplify @pilliarscreatio @MmmBob possibly... but they may allow it for a few $$

@pilliarscreatio @SmileSimplify @MmmBob not really sure. Usually they just tell us a "few hundred miles" but that could be anything... They seem to have room in Texas! https://t.co/usAfqiCFjo

@pilliarscreatio @SmileSimplify @MmmBob Yeah I was looking at that... That's where my thought came from. Have they enough southern ocean to launch South and land first stage on the drone...

@pilliarscreatio @SmileSimplify @MmmBob Could they launch polar from Texas? Heading south... ?

@SmileSimplify @pilliarscreatio @MmmBob Yeah I'd say that'd be better. And prob already on the cards... They can't depend on 1 drone ship for 3 handy pads! They might put a landing zone in Texas too!

@pilliarscreatio @SmileSimplify @MmmBob If there was fuel... It would need to be practically orbital to get that far.... Maybe a landing pad on west coast of Florida?!

@pilliarscreatio @SmileSimplify @MmmBob But fly over Florida.. And boost back ... Maybe

@pilliarscreatio @SmileSimplify @MmmBob I don't think they'd be allowed do it. Not for years anyway. FAA would not grant permission for rocket entry over Florida land mass... Due to risk to population

@SmileSimplify @pilliarscreatio Yeah right now I'd agree. But SpaceX have 2 east coast pads and a 3rd being built . They have currently 1 west coast pad, maybe more are in the pipeline there. If SpaceX can launch f9 once a week with a standardised(ish) payload adapter for ride share, wait might be acceptable.

@pilliarscreatio I wonder are they looking to reuse down the line..they are dumping lithium ion batteries (as well as everything else) in the ocean. With BO and SpaceX looking to recover everything in the future, it may be unpalatable to continue this pollution...

@pilliarscreatio By the time BO fly, the monopoly will be on life support!
